Slovenia Producer Price Inflation Rises In June

Slovenia's producer price inflation continued to rise in June.

The producer price index rose 3% year-on-year in June, faster than a 2.9% rise in the previous month, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said on Tuesday. At the same time, producer prices in the domestic market grew 2.6% and in the non-domestic marker increased 3.3%.

The price index for intermediate goods climbed 5.9% annually in June, while energy prices grew 0.6%. Prices for capital goods rose 0.2% and consumer goods were up 1.2%. Durable consumer goods prices climbed 1.6%. In manufacturing, producer prices increased 3.1% in June, while prices of mining and quarrying rose 0.2%. The price index for electricity slipped 2.1% and water supply increased 10.7%.

On a monthly basis, output prices rose 0.3% in June, but slower than a 1.3% growth in the previous month. Output prices in the domestic market and the non-domestic market increased 0.3% each. For the first six months of the year, output prices climbed 0.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.
